WEST POINT—Ethel Alford Wimberley, 83, a homemaker, died of heart failure Saturday [November 18] at Dugan Memorial Home.

Services are 2 p.m. today at Calvert Funeral Home with burial in Memorial Garden Cemetery.

Mrs. Wimberley was a Chickasaw County native. She was a member of First United Methodist Church. She was a member of Martha Chapter No. 53 of the Order of the Eastern Star. She was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Ladies Auxiliary. She was the widow of W.K. Wimberley.

Survivors include: daughters, Charlotte W. Young and Sandra F. Wimberley, both of West Point; sisters, Virginia Bray of Columbus and Geraldine Allen of Houston; brothers, Curis Alford of Houston and J.W. Alford of Porterville, Calif.; and three grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
