MARRIAGE: Marriage certificate for William E. Ellery and Lucy Catharine LaFon - Lewis County Courthouse, Monticello, Missouri.
There was a second marriage following the death of Lucy's first husband, William Eppes Ellery. Recorded in family Bible in a cousin's possession, "Married on Thursday, March 3, 1864 by Reverand James Penn, Erasmus Wilson Mitchell of Prince Georges County, Maryland, to Mrs. Lucy Catherine Ellery." She outlived her second husband as well. "Erasmus Mitchell died at sunrise on Sunday, January 28, 1877, at 69 years, 2 months, 17 days".
DEATH: Recorded in family bible as noted above.
