Vernon Calvin Anders Jr., 59, husband of Queen Hayes Anders, of 319 Esuary Road, passed away Nov. 10, 2005, at Greenville Memorial Hospital.
Born in Greenville County, he was a son of the late Vernon Calvin Anders Sr. and Estelle Rochester. He was a U.S. Army veteran, having served in Vietnam, and attended Holly Springs Baptist Church.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are sons, Kevin Anders and wife, Missi, of Pickens, and Jason Anders and wife, Jacque, of Pickens; grandchildren, Logan and Erin Anders, both of Pickens; sisters, Frances Cox of Greenville, Margaret Messer of Germany, Jane Garrett of Greenville, and Faye Anders of Greenville County; and a brother, David Anders of Easley.
Mr. Anders was predeceased by brothers, Dale and Harry Anders.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 13, 2005, at Hillcrest Memorial Park and Gardens, with the Reverend Gerald Martin officiating.
The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. tonight, Nov. 12, 2005, at Dillard Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 2680, North Canton, OH 44720.
The family is at the residence.
