LAIRDSVILLE. Feb. 28. — At the home of his daughter Mrs. (Abbie) Hunt, at eight o'clock Wednesday evening Stephen Luther, one of the oldest residents of this place, passed away.
He was born in Russia, Herkimer Co., NY in 1822, but passed most of his life in the Town of Westmoreland. For several years he has been in feeble health, but until then always actively interested in both literary & religious work. he leaves his wife Elizabeth Lloyd, four sons and three daughters.
