While living in New York, he purchased several large apartment buildings, who he often allowed family members stay, when they arrived to the states from Italy. He owned a bank at 26 Mulbery Street in Manhattan, a real estate company and also owned a store at 78 Mulberry along with his father, which sold many of his patented products. He also patented candied citrus fruits and many liquor products. He later moved his store to 2206 2nd Avenue in New York, New York.
