Lt. U.S. Army, World War One, 1917-1919- Lt.Goodfellow was killed in action on 6-15-1918 near Chateau Thierry, France while serving as a Company Commander with Co.L of the 23rd Infantry Regiment of the 2nd Infantry Division. This engagement was part of the Belleau Wood, and the 2nd Battle of the Marne.

He is the son of Mr. Guy C. & Mrs. Ella C. Goodfellow of 108 Crescent Avenue in Peoria, Illinois, and is a 1911 graduate of Peoria H.S., and a 1915 graduate of Bradley College in Peoria, and did some studies at the University of Illinois, and left for training, and his Commission at Fort Sheridan, Illinois. Lt. Goodfellow was in France by Januaty of 1918, and did further training at Langres, France.

Awards: Purple Heart Medal, WWI Victory Medal.
