Mr. Bennett was born February 24, 1912 in Bogota, Tenn., the son of Sam and Sadie French Bennett. He came to Missouri at the age of five years and had lived in Caruthersville for many years, working as a mechanic and service foreman for various automobile agencies.
He leaves his wife, Mrs. Margie Bennett of the home; two daughters, Jerry Renee Bennett of Caruthersville and Mrs. Wanda Roe of Marietta, Ga.; one son, Jack Bennett of Wentzville, Mo.; his mother, Mrs. Sadie Bennett of this city; two sisters, Mrs. Melissa Faircloth of Memphis and Mrs. Viola Jackson of Peoria, Ill.; and four brothers, Cecil and Lonnie Bennett of Caruthersville, Virgil Bennett of Peoria and Ben Bennett of Bogota.
