Grace Ellen Sweet was born September 16, 1897 in Martinsville, Illinois and passed away May 12, 1947 at Allen Sanitarium at the age of 50 years, 7 months and 26 days. On June 20, 1916 she married James Enos Battershell and they had six children. Survivors are the husband and children: John Harlan, Robert O, James William, Doris Lackey, Barbara and Betty Jo, four grandchildren: Judith Elaine Battershell, John Harlan Battershell, Jr, Nancy Rebecca Lackey and Sue Andra Lackey, and one brother, Jacob Sweet of Dyer, Indiana. She was a member of the Christian Church which she joined on June 24, 1907 at Hume, Illinois. She leaves to mourn aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and many friends. Services are Wednesday May 14th at 4 pm at Buchanan Funeral Home with Rev Van Lear officiating. Burial is in the Robinson New Cemetery.
