SAVINELL, Dora L., 82, of Steubenville, died Monday, September 14, 2009, in Brightwood Nursing Home.
She was born December 16, 1926, in Steubenville, the daughter of the late Joseph and Marzietta Cutarella Petrella.
Dora was a retired private duty registered nurse; a member of Holy Family Catholic Church; a former member of the Ohio State Nurse's Assoc. and the former president of the Alpha Phi Delta Ladies Auxiliary and was also a member of the league of women voters.
Dora is also preceded in death by her husband, Alvin Savinell; two brothers, Ralph and Sam Petrella; two sisters, Agnes DiNovo and Hazel Viola.
Surviving are one son, David Savinell of Steubenville; one sister, Gloria Agresta of Steubenville; and three grandsons, Sean, Ryan and David Savinell Jr.
Calling hours are Wednesday 4-7 p.m. at the Mosti Funeral Home, Sunset Chapel, 4435 Sunset Blvd., Steubevnille.
A Funeral Liturgy with Mass will celebrated 9:30 a.m. Thursday at Holy Family Catholic Church, Msgr, Gerald Calovini.
Entombment in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
There will be a vigil service 6:45 p.m. Wednesday. Memorial contributions may be made to Holy Family Catholic Church.
