Oscar Lee Bland, 88, of 644-B E. Liberty St., died Saturday at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Charleston, S. C. after a long illness.
The native of Bulloch County was a veteran of World War II, a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and a retired employee of the City of Savannah.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Dorothy Purvis Bland of Savannah; a son, Clifford Lewis Bland of Savannah; three brothers, Jim Bland of Lakeland, Fla., Carl Bland of Carlsbad, N. M. and R. IL. Bland of New York, N. Y.; three sisters, Mrs. L./ C. Conaway and Mrs. Louise Billings, both of Savannah, and Mrs. Mary Scott of Bryan, TX.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 10 am at Fox and Weeks Funeral Home, with burial in Brooklet City Cemetery in Brooklet.
