Hospital Engineer Fatally Scalded by Steam and Water
DALLAS, June 5. --(AP)--Reuben H. Sneed, engineer at the United States Veterans Hospital in Lisbon, Texas, was fatally scalded by steam and hot water from a boiler at the hospital yesterday.
Sneed was believed to have been cleaning out a boiler when the accident occurred.
A veteran of the last war, Sneed was a resident of Dallas for 22 years. He is survived by his widow; two sons, Pvt. R. H. Sneed, Jr., U.S. Army Air Forces and Jackie Sneed, Dallas; a daughter, Joy Sneed; three brothers, Julius Sneed and Henry Sneed of Waco and Alvah Sneed of Fort Worth.
Funeral services were arranged for today.
