Mr. Jinnen "Jim" Shirrell, age 87, passed away Sunday, March 9, 2008, after an extended illness. He was born in Marcella, Arkansas on August 16, 1920 to the late Tom and Dora Shirrell. On May 3, 1946, he married Anna Kelley and she preceded him in death in 2006. Jinnen was a veteran of the United States Army serving during World War II, and an avid card play and sportsman. He is survived by two sons: Bruce and Damon; three daughters: Mary Bonebrake, Julie (Stan) Czarny and Gail (Ric) Holmes; ten grandchildren; many great grandchildren; a sister; and many friends. A Memorial Visitation for Jinnen will be Wednesday, March 12th from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Ever Rest Funeral Home & Chapel, 1783 E. Keating Ave., Muskegon. Interment will be next to his wife, Anna. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be directed to Hackley Visiting Nurse Services and Hospice.
