Virginia Lee Winter, 75, of Sandyville, departed this life, December 12, 1999 at St. Joseph Hospital, Parkersburg, WV, following a brief illness.
She was born June 17, 1999 (year has to be incorrect) at Cottageville, WV a daughter of the late Clyde and Emma Jane (Fox) Stewart. She was retired from the Jackson County Commission on Aging and was a member of the Sandyville United Methodist Church.
Survivors include sons, Ronald Winter of Simpsonville, SC, Richard Winter of Sandyville and Michael Winter of Belpre, OH; daughter, Sharon Staats of Sandyville; 5 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Winter; brothers, Guy, Joe, Benjamin and Hubert and an infant sister.
Service will be Thursday, December 16, 1999--11 am at Casto Funeral Home, Evans, WV with the Rev. Gerald B. Sayre and the Rev. Thomas Moore officiating. Burial will follow in Jackson County Memory Gardens, Cottageville, WV. Visitation 4 pm - 8 pm Wednesday at the funeral home.
