Survived by his wife Clara, two sons, Gordon, Duncan, BC and Edward, Calgary, daughter Mrs. Bernie (Grace) Hodgson, N. Vancouver, 5 grandchildren and 3 sisters in Toronto. Remains will be forwarded to Calgary, Alberta for interment.

Calgary Pioneer Dies at 75
A resident of Calgary for more than 50 years, Harold Otis Day, 75 formerly of 2205 34th St., S. W., died Thursday in Vancouver.
Mr. Day was born in Cleveland, O., and as a child moved to Toronto where he received his schooling. He came to Calgary more than 50 years ago and [was the] proprietor of the Happy Day Transfer prior to the First Great War. He then work the dominion Express and later with the Canadian Pacific Express for 35 years, retiring in 1947.
Mr. and Mrs. Day celebrated their golden wedding aniversary in July 1956.
Surviving are his wife, Clara of Vancouver; two sons, Edward of Calgary, and Gordon of Duncan, B.C.; a daughter, Mrs. Birney (Grace) Hodgson of Vancouver; three sisters, Lulu and Helen Day of Toronto, and Hattie Moon of Callendar, Ont., five grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held at 2:45 in Jacques chapel with Rev. Archibald Gordon officiating. Burial will be in Queens Park cemetery.
