Relatives here said Miss Helsley left Saturday with her brothers, Joseph and Harry Helsley, Jr. on a hunting trip. Her death occurred yesterday when her rifle, which she had placed against a tree, fell over and was discharged. She was struck in the head and died instantly.
A native of Shafter, she was a graduate of the Wasco High School. Also surviving are her father, Harry Helsley, Sr., of Wasco; and four sisters, Mrs. Marilyn Siliznoff of Wasco, Mrs. Maxine Townsend of Bakersfield, Mrs. Margie Rawleigh of San Diego and Mrs. Neva Sides of Norfolk, Va.
