Mrs. Black lived nearly all of her life in Caruthersville and vicinity, having made her home in Karnak only for the past two or three years. Her first husband, Henry Adams, died in 1947.
She leaves her husband, Simon Black of Karnak; four sons, Ed Adams of this city, Clyde Adams, Birmingham, Ala., Raymond Adams, Van New, Calif. and J.D. Adams, Redland, Calif; a daughter, Mrs. Helen Hicks of Huffman, Ark.; three sisters, Mrs. Mary Ellis, Bernie, Mo., Mrs. Jeanie Browley, Karnak and Mrs. Mary Morgan, McCloud, Ill.; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
