Pocahontas -- Mrs. Nicholas (Juanita L. Callison) Vassonei, 86, of Pocahontas died 11:25 a.m. Saturday (Dec. 14, 1985) in Fair Oaks Nursing Home, Greenville.
Services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday in May Funeral Home, Pocahontas, with visitation after 2 p.m. Monday. Burial will be in Robinson Cemetery, Pocahontas.
Mrs. Vassonei was born in Witt, daughter of John and Jessie Callison. She was a member of Hopewell United Methodist Church and Ross Camp Royal Neighbors of America. She married Nicholas Vassonei in 1914.
Surviving are her husband; son, Gerald of St. Louis; daughter, Ruth Groening of St. Louis; brother, Lucas of Wentzville, Mo.; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.

Juanita L. Vassonei, 86, wife of Nicholas Vassonei of Pocahontas, died 11:25 a.m. Saturday, December 14, in Fair Oaks nursing wing of Utlaut Memorial Hospital.
Mrs. Vassonei was born February 1, 1899 in Witt, the daughter of John and Jessie (Maxey) Callison. She and Mr. Vassonei were married March 1, 1914 in Hillsboro.
Other survivors are a son and daughter, both of St. Louis, Gerald Vassonei and Ruth Groening; brother Lucas Callison of Wentzville, MO.; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one daughter, Virginia Golder; one brother, three sisters and one grandson.
Mrs. Vassonei was a member of the Hopewell United Methodist Church and Ross Camp Royal Neighbors of America.
Services were conducted today (Tuesday) at 10 a.m. in the May Funeral Home, Pocahontas, by the Rev. David Nottrott. Interment was in Robinson Cemetery.
