Our beloved mother, Helen Mae Cox Dalton, passed away on September 25, 2009 at her sons Danny and Donald's home in West Jordan, Utah at the age of 90.

She was born July 5, 1919 in Rolla, Missouri to George Archibald Cox and Freida Belle Skaggs.

Helen married Lawrence E. Dalton on December 15, 1943. Together they lived many places throughout the United States before settling in West Jordan, Utah, where they raised their nine children.

Helen had many talents and hobbies. She loved gardening, reading, and crocheting. Mom felt her greatest accomplishment in life were her nine children. She was always present to celebrate their joys and accomplishments; she held their hands and comforted them at times of sorrow and loss. She was a great woman who will be dearly missed.

She was an active member of the LDS Church and served diligently in many callings. Her favorite position was working as President of the Primary, where she was able to serve children.

Helen was preceded in death by the "love of her life" her husband Larry. Also, by her oldest daughter Sharon Lee, her brother Clifford, sister Louise, grandson Rey Dalton and great grandson Jesse Dalton. She is survived by eight children, Frank and Pat Dalton, Ashville, Ohio; Larry and Rosemary Dalton, West Jordan; Carol and Tim Tibolla, West Jordan; Jane and Robert Crosier, Richfield, Ut, Danny Dalton, West Jordan; DeAnn and Roger Dimond, South Jordan, Utah; John and Julie Dalton, Ontario, OR, Donald Dalton, West Jordan; 14 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.

At our mothers request, a Graveside Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 30, 2009 in the Sandy City Cemetery, 9000 South 700 East, Sandy, Utah.
