Funeral services were held at the Baptist Church in Cottonwood Point Tuesday, May 30, at 2:30 for Mrs. Flossie Mae Pate who died at her home there on Saturday, May 27, the Rev. Mr. Belew conducting the service.
Mrs. Pate was born February 27, 1902, at Finley, Tennessee, the daughter of Robert and Ollie Holt, and was aged 48 years and 2 months. She had lived at Cottonwood Point for many years and had long time been a member of the Baptist Church there.
She is survived by her husband, Bill Pate; her mother, Mrs. Ollie Abbott; five daughters who are Mrs. Margaret Mitchell, Mrs. Susie Shelton, Mrs. Iris Caldwell and Mrs. Doris Baird, all of Cottonwood, and Mrs. Virginia Oldfield of Vandalia Illinois; one brother, Robert Holt, Cottonwood; one sister, Mrs. Drucilla Taylor of Santa Paula, Calif.; two half brothers, Granville Abbott of Cottonwood Point and Perry Abbott of Santa Paula and eight grandchildren.
Interment was in Little Prairie Cemetery, this city, with LaForge Undertaking Company service.
