Born Sept 22, 1907 in Marseilles, IL, he was employed as as sheet metal contractor for Sears Roebuck and Co and as a maintenance man at Lutherdale Bible Camp, rural Elkhorn. He was a former member of Sugar Creek Lutheran Church. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Lily, in 1968, and his second wife, Martha, in 1976.
Surviving are a son, Raymond of Racine; a grandson; and a brother, Berger of Racine. Services were Monday at Betts Funeral Home, Elkhorn, with burial at Roselawn Memory Gardens.
