March 24, 1940 Funeral services for the Rev. H. T. Howell of Fort Towson were conducted this afternoon at the White Church Cemetery east of Antlers. Interment was in the White Church Cemetery with Snow Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Rev. Howell died Friday at 5 p.m. at the home of his daughter, Mrs. L. J. Glaze in Fort Towson after a prolonged illness. He had made his home with his daughter for the past two years. He was born June 17, 1857. He was a retired Baptist minister. Survivors include five daughters, Mrs. L. J. Glaze, Ft Towson, Mrs. Ora Standridge, Opal, Arkansas, Mrs. Eula Edward Turlock, California, Mrs. Sallie Herron, Modesto, California and Mrs. Annie Cotton, Atwood; four sons, Ernest of Turlock, Calif.; J. M. of Stratford, Oklahoma, L. T. of Tallant, Oklahoma and John Howell of Mena, Arkansas.
