FRED WESSAR PASSED
AWAY ON SUNDAY (sic)
Fred Wessar a native of Palo Alto County, and a life long resident of this county passed away at the local hospital Friday afternoon, February 19. The funeral was held Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Foy Funeral Home. Rev. M. C. Thompson, pastor of the Lutheran church officiated. Burial was made in the Rush Lake cemetery south of Curlew.
The pall bearers were: Walter Ruehle, Clarence Ruehle, Thomas Coakley, John Coakley, August Ruehle and Robert Twigg.
Mr. Wessar, son of Theobald and Freda Wessar was born on a farm in Great Oak township in April 1884. He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith. His entire life was spent in this county. Five weeks ago he was taken ill with the flu and other complications, which later developed into pneumonia and he was brought to the local hospital. Mr. Wessar was working on a farm near Ruthven when he took sick.
He never married.
He leaves to mourn his death, four sisters and four brothers. The sisters are Mrs. Tim Coakley of Emmetsburg, Mrs. Charles Ruehle of Ruthven, Mrs. Hattie Steiner of Des Moines and Mrs. Will McKensie of Hardy, Iowa. The brothers are R. C. Wessar of Emmetsburg, G. J. of Curlew, Jack of Fort Dodge, and Charles of Gilmore City.
There are also a number of other relatives and friends to whom the Tribune extends sincere sympathy.
