OAKLAND - Benjamin William Frantz, 79, of Friendsville, died Friday at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Pauline Lewis, Pittsburgh.

Mr. Frantz was a member of the Friendsville Methodist Church and a former .school teacher in Garrett county.

He was the son of the late George D. and Lavina (Huff) Frantz.

Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Bessie Frantz; two sons, Howard Frantz, Hagerstown, and Mark Frantz, Pittsburgh; five other daughters, Mrs. Thelma Lewis, Huntington, W. Va.; Mrs. Geraldine Harford, Cleveland; Mrs. Gaynal Shank, Hagerstown; Mrs. Catherine Holsopple, Hagerstown, and Mrs. Bessie Rush, Friendsville; 29 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.

Services and burial were held yesterday in Friendsville.
