WILLIAM R. BERRY SR
William Ross Berry Sr., 64, Rt 2, Box 10, Perkinston, died at Stone County Hospital on arrival at 11:30 a.m. Thursday. He had been a resident of Gulfport for 10 years prior to moving to Perkinston three years ago.
He was a self-employed carpenter and a Methodist. He was born May 28, 1903, in George County.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Sarah Parker Berry, Perkinston: four sons, William R. Berry Jr., Salamanca, Mexico; James R. Berry, Pearl River, La.; Richard L. Berry, Long Beach; David J. Berry, Gulfport; two daughters, Mrs. Sarah E. Dean, Agricola; Mrs. Martha Ann Scarborough, Paducah, Ky.; 18 grandchildren; one brother, C.Y. Berry, Perkinston; and one sister, Mrs. Cora Cox, Perkinston.
The funeral service will be held this afternoon at 3 o'clock at the Pine Grove Methodist Church in the Broome community, with the Rev. Jerry Estes, pastor of Perkinston Baptist Church, officiating.
Interment will be in the Pine Grove Church Cemetery in George County.
Riemann Funeral Home is in charge.
