The funeral services of Mrs. Sarah Shearer Welch, wife of Mr Elmer D. Welch, who died in the J.C. Blair Memorial Hospital at Huntingdon, Saturday, July 21st, following a serious operation, occurred at the late home, corner Garber and Jefferson Streets, Tuesday afternoon. A large concorse of relatives and friends attended the funeral. Rev. David Curry of the Presbyterian church, also Rev. Chester W. Todd, of Sunbury, a former pastor of this church, of which Mrs. Welch was a member, conducted the services. Interment was made in the I.O.O.F. cemetery at Mount Union.
