Services for Eugene Walter Appling, 77, were held at Tuxedo Methodist church officiated by Rev. H.H. Summers, Rev Sam Morris and Rev. J.H. Skiles
Mr. Appling moved to Jones County in 1901 from McLennan County. He was a member of the W.O.W. Lodge since 1895 and was the secretary of the lodge at Tuxedo.
Survived by three sons - Robert, Roy and Walter Appling; one daughter - Miss Bertha Appling; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two brothers - Joe and E.D. Appling; four sisters - Mrs. J.T. Routh, Mrs. Etta Downing, Mrs. Della Brannon and Mrs. Elizia Willis.
