He was born January 19, 1885, in Eagleville, MO, to Gus and Ellen Brill, and was raised and educated there. He lived in Eagleville until 1910 when he moved to the Park Rapids where he had lived and farmed since. He was married to Albina Parks on April 24, 1918 at Detroit Lakes.
Survivors include his wife, one son, Rolland of Park Rapids and one brother, Elmer of Seattle, Washington.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, August 27 at the Jones Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Fred Walter officiating. Organist was Les Enfield. A duet of Ida Harsha and Marilyn Newenhouse sang, "The Old Rugged Cross" and I'll Never Cross Jordan Alone."
Pallbearers were Paul____(unreadable), Reuben Rossu, Fred Pritchard, Rex Lindblom, Kent Borgen, and Ray Enfield.
Interment was in Greenwood Cemetery, Park Rapids with arrangements by Jones Funeral Home.
