"Tom O'Shea, former Salinan, died Monday in Oklahoma city on his 81st birthday. He had suffered a stroke March 17.
Born in Culver, he grew up in Salina. He moved to Oklahoma City 55 years ago. He was superintendent for the Kansas City Bridge Co., and had directed construction of many bridges. He was a member of the Roman Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus.
Survivors indlude a son, James, Oklahoma City; a daughter, Mrs. Catherine Galloway, Seattle ,Wash.; two sisters, Mrs. Josephine Taylor, Salina RFD 2, and Mrs. Ella Watkins, Solomon; a brother James, 128 So. 11th; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be Wednesday at the St. Mary's Catholic cemetery."
