Born April 30, 1921, in Toulon to Charles A. and Sarah Anna Mock Aby, he married Betty Powers on April 19, 1965, in Las Vegas. She survives.
Also surviving are one daughter, four grandchildren, one brother and three sisters.
He was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.
He was reared and educated in Toulon and moved to Kewanee in 1935. He was a truck driver for L.E. Boling and S.J Rinella before moving to Minnesota in 1972.
A World War II Army veteran, he served in Hawaii and Okinawa. He received the Bronze Star.
He was a member of the American Legion in St. Paul Park and Veterans of Foreign Wars and Moose Lodge in South St. Paul.
