Mrs. Lena Gargis
The death of Mrs. Lena Gargis, mother of James and Richard Gargis, occurred at the home of her son James in this city Tuesday at 10 a.m. She had been in bad health 20 years or more, having chronic stomach and bowel trouble.
Mrs. Gargis was 62 years of age and came to Davis about six years ago from North Alabama. Her husband preceded her to the grave 18 or 20 years. She was a good woman and had been a member of the Baptist church since childhood.
Funeral service was held yesterday afternoon, conducted by Rev. J. L. Gage, and was followed by interment in Green Hill cemetery.
