Zoe Wilson

Zoe Wilson of Aberdeen died Sept. 21 at her home. She was 85.

Born in Cincinnati, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Garth Allen and Sernie Mae Wilfon Soult.

Mrs. Wilson was a licensed practical nurse at Harford Memorial Hospital in Havre de Grace and was also a bartender at the old Musical Inn in Aberdeen. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church and the Women's Auxiliary of American Legion Post 128 and VFW Post 10028, both in Aberdeen. She was also a bingo fanatic.

Mrs. Wilson is survived by her children, Barbara A. Church, of Bel Air, and Eunice L. Davila, of Palm Coast, Fla.; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Wilson was preceded by her husband, Richard Wilson; a son, Garth A. "Skippy" Purnell; a daughter, Marjorie "Peggy" Zoe Lunsford; and two brothers.

Service is today (Sept. 26) at Tarring-Cargo Funeral Home, 333 South Parke St., in Aberdeen, at 10 a.m. with Dr. Robert T. Clipp officiating. Interment will follow in Harford Memorial Gardens in Aldino.

Pallbearers will be Chico Davila, Brent Cobb, Kurt Knechtlel, Eric Church and Dustin Doremus.
