Mrs. Minnie Davidson Gardner, 74, died at her home on South Green street Friday night at eleven-thirty o'clock after several months confinement with heart ailment and complications. A native of Glasgow she was the daughter of the late Benjamin Gideon and Katharine Jackman Davidson, both of prominent Barren county families. She was the widow of the late Mr. Henry Warner Gardner, who preceded her to the grave on Dec. 23rd, 1930.

Though characterized by quiet and womanly traits, the deceased was active in a number of organizations which have done much to the like of this community. She was a former teacher in the county and city schools for a number of years and was a devout member of the Baptist church where she was active as a Sunday school teacher and leader in other church circles as long as her health permitted. She was one of the first sponsors of the Glasgow Public Library and devoted much effort toward its continued progress. She was also a past Regent of the Edmund Rogers Chapter of the D. A. R.

Surviving her are one son, Corporal Davidson Gardner, stationed at Long View, Texas; two sisters, Mrs. Mattie Belle Mitchell, of Los Angeles, Calif., and Mrs. Grace Comer, Glasgow; two brothers, Messrs W. J. Davidson, Louisville, and H. E. Davidson, of Glasgow. Funeral services were held at the Glasgow Baptist church Sunday afternoon at three o'clock conducted by the pastor, Rev. Sam Ed Bradley, with interment in the Glasgow cemetery.
