On the marriage certificate of Madelaine Magdalena Beron (or Berron) to Chretien Christian Durmeyer, it states that she was the illegitimate child of Christine Marguerithe Beron. (The certificate has a mix of French and German because of the location.) It states that Magdalena was born 29 (vingt-neuf) January 1806 at Pettersbach, residence is Krauffthal (older spelling of Graufthal).
On her daughter's death certificate (Margaret Dormire Bailar) it has her surname as Helmstater or Helmsteter - hard to tell. There was a Helmstetter buried in the little cemetery in Graufthal, France when we visited a few years ago. Need to do more research on this.
