Loudoun Times Mirror, January 1, 1970. Richard Eugene Virts, a former
resident of Lovettsville and a retired trackman for the B&O Railroad, died Jan. 12 at his home in Brunswick, Md. He was 67. Mr. Virts was a member of the First Church of God of Knoxville, Md., of the Eagles of Brunswick, and of the B&O Veterans. He was born in Pennsylvania and was a son of the late R. Ira Tilman and Rebba Derry Virts. Mr. Virts' wife was the late Mary C. Wenner Virts. Survivors include a son, Charles R. Virts; a daughter, Mrs. Gloria Talton; two sisters, Mrs. Pansy Mitter of Highland Park, Mich., and Mrs. Florence Frye of Lovettsville, and half-sister, Mrs. Margueritte Murphey of Elk Garden, W.Va.
