Richard A. Virts, a blacksmith employed in the railroad shops at Brunswick, died yesterday afternoon form the effects of morphine and the bite of a spider. The physicians stated that he overdosed himself with morphine to allay the suffering caused from the bite of the spider. Deceased was about 38 years of age and was well thought of. He was a native of Loudoun County, Va., and was the Republican candidate for councilman in the First ward at eh the late council election. He leaves a widow and one child. The funeral will be under the supervision of Shenandoah Tribe of Red Men, of which he was a member.
