Leona Pearl Baker, 50, died Saturday following a short illness
Born Nov. 9, 1925, in Oroville, she moved to Monse as a girl and has lived there since.
On Jan. 6, 1940, she married Tom Baker in Omak.
She was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Brewster Grange and was active in the Youth Indian Education.
Surviving are her husband, at home; one son, Tom Baker Jr., Monse; four daughters, Cindy and Ann Baker, both of Monse, Kay Waddall, Okanogan and Debbie Baker, Nespelem; three grandchildren. One son preceded her in death.
Rosary services were held tonight at 7:00 pm from the Barnes Chapel, Brewster. Funeral services were held Wednesday at 10:00 am at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Brewster, with Father Clifford Hullings officiating. Interment was in the Monse Cemetery. Barnes Chapel, Brewster, in charge of the arrangements.
