Portland, May 15 –
Funeral services for George W. Able, 85, prominent Madison Township
farmer, will be conducted Thursday afternoon at 1:30 o’clock at the
Salamonia Methodist Church in charge of Rev. H. G. Ferry. Burial will be in
Salamonia Cemetery.
Able died Tuesday morning at the home of his son, William E. Able, west of
Salamonia.
Surviving are two sons, William E., at whose home he died, and Donald Ray
Able of Huntington; one daughter, Mrs. John Norris of Indianapolis; four
sisters, Mrs. Hettie Dick of Texas; Mrs. Lorinda Dill of Mt. View, Ore.; Mrs.
Myrtle Miller of Indianapolis and Mrs. Vada Driscoll of Hartford City; 11
grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
