Edwin W Allen, 86, of 6614 N. 49th St., died Friday in a local nursing home.
Mr. Allen was born in Rothville, Mo., and came to Tacoma from Winthrop, Wash. He was a retired carpenter, having worked for the US Forest Service. He attended the Christian Science Church. He was a member of the Winthrop Grange.
Survivors include three sons, Glen Allen, of Medford, Ore, Elvoe, of Victorville, Calif., and Dale of Oroville; four daughters, Mrs. Audrey Taylor, of Seattle, Mrs. Eula Starr of Spokane, Mrs. Berna Loop, of Tacoma and Mrs. Margaret Clark of Spokane, a brother, Thomas Allen and a sister Mrs. Hallie Fletcher, both Moberly, Mo.; 18 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Services will be announced by the C. C. Mellinger Funeral Home.
