Colonel Marick A. Neff
Age 87, of West Chester, died Wednesday, December 31, 2003 at Bethesda North Hospital. Born January 23, 1916 in Greenville, Ohio to Raymond O. and Mabel O. (nee: Marick) Neff, he graduated from Loveland H. S. in 1934. Colonel Neff retired from the United States Air Force in 1966 after 20+ years where he had been a pilot and former POW during World War II After retiring he worked for 10 years as a negotiator for the Ohio Department of Transportation, retiring in 1977. He was a 32 Degree Mason with the Emery Lodge #258 in Loveland, a lifetime member of the Lebanon Elks #422, a member of the American Legion Post #186 and the Lebanon VFW Post #6069. Preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Betty J. (nee: Nixon) Neff, and one sister, Mildred Ropp. survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Jeanne and Floyd Young of Lebanon, two grandchildren, Floyd Michael Young and Jennifer J. Welde and four great grandchildren and one brother, Walter E. Neff of Fairfield, Ohio. Visitation will be held Sunday, January 11th, 2004, from 2:00-4:00 p.m., with funeral services on Monday, January 12th, 2004, at 11:00 a.m., all at the Oswald-Hoskins Funeral Home, Lebanon, Ohio. Pastor George Reese officiating, interment will be in Lebanon Cemetery with full military honors by Wright-Patterson Air Force Base Honor Guard. Arrangements by the Oswald-Hoskins Funeral Home.
