Julia Elser was born in Bedford County, Penn., May 19, 1830, and died at her home near Port Mitchell in York Twp, Jan. 12, 1898, aged 67 years 7 months and 24 days. At the age of six years she was left an orphan. She married Peter Elser in Huntington County Dec. 5, 1858, and in company with her husband came to this county in 1865 and resided here the remainder of her life. She was the mother of two daughters and two sons and the stepmother of two sons. Her two sons died in 1894. In 1894 she joined the York Presbyterian Church where funeral was held last Friday.
