John Foster, 85, who resided in Izard County near Evening Shade, died suddenly last Friday. He is survived by 11 children and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Foster, J.(ohn) M.(aurice)—(1845-1935) After serving in Company G, Missouri
Cavalry, CSA, he returned home, and in 1873-74 , he represented Carroll, Fulton,
Izard, Marion, and Boone Counties in the Arkansas House. He was buried at
Antioch Cemetery, Zion, Izard County, Arkansas.
