CARTER, Fred Thomas, age 83, of Goochland, passed away November 6, 2007 at his home. He is survived by his wife, LaVerne H. Carter; children, Brenda (Jack) Dunn, Tommy (JoAnne) Carter, Cecil (Kathi) Carter, Frances (Dana) Ragland; three grandchildren, Kendra Friedrich, Ryan Dunn and Shelley Ceasey; and two sisters, Gertrude Pleasants and Annie Holloway. He was a veteran of the United States Army WWII. The family will receive friends Wednesday, November 7, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Norman's Funeral Home. Graveside services Thursday, 2 p.m. at Smyrna Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Smyrna Baptist or Goochland Fire and Rescue Co. 5.
