George Reese Richman died Sept. 1, 2009. Born Jan. 25, 1928 in Paradise, Utah, to George S and Estella Thomas Richman.

Married Darlene Hatch on Sept. 27, 1950 in the Logan Temple. She preceded him in death.

Also preceded in death by his mother and father, brother DelRoy, sister Edna Nelson, brother Jay T, and brother-in-law Don Nelson.

He is survived by three children, Bradford R, Sue Ann (Roger) Armstrong, and Jana (Steve Defa); and five grandchildren: Ryan Armstrong, Rachel (Eric) Jensen, Amber (Morgan) Mendenhall, Brandi Richman, Kurtis Richman; sister-in-law Elva (Richman) Robins.

Attended South Cache High School and obtained a BS degree from Utah State University. He was a teacher for 35 years in the Tooele County School District.

Reese dearly loved his wife, Darlene. They spent many miles and years traveling together. Reese was a cowboy at heart and enjoyed several years cattle ranching in Emery County and Tooele County. He loved cattle and horses, especially as a boy riding with his dad in Blacksmith Fork and later on the Manti LaSal with his own children. Was a member of the LDS Church, a member of the Utah Simmental Cattle Association, serving as president. In 2007, Reese was awarded the prestigious "Gold Book Award" by the American Simmental Association.

Services will be held at the Tooele 11th Ward, 180 So. Coleman at 10:00AM on Tuesday September 8th with a viewing 1 hr prior to the service. A viewing will also be held at Tate Mortuary, 110 So. Main St. in Tooele from 6-8PM on Monday, Sept 7th.
