Helen Alexander, 87, of Decatur, died 6:45 a.m. Tuesday (March 17, 1992) in McKinley Court. Private family graveside services Friday in Mount Gilead Cemetery.
Mrs. Alexander was born in Decatur on March 9, 1905, daughter of Charles and Hattie Warnick Muirheid. She was formerly employed by Decatur Memorial Hospital. She married William Montgomery on June 19, 1922. He died on Oct. 17, 1950. She then married Alex Alexander on Jan. 4, 1958. He died on Feb. 23, 1958.
Surviving are her stepson, John of Tuscola; two grandsons; three great-grandchildren. Her parents, husband, one son, six brothers and one sister preceded her in death.
