Floyd Mow Dies at 75
ROCHESTER - Floyd V. Mow, 75, R.5, Rochester, died at 7 a.m. Monday in the Woodlawn hospital in this city where he had been confined for one week. He had been ill for 11 months.
He was born April 26, 1884 in Fulton county where he had lived for the past 17 years. He was the son of David and Catherine (Beehler) Mow and was married on June 14, 1905 to Emma Stech, who survives.
He was a construction superintendent for the H.G. Christman construction company of South Bend for 30 years and for four years he was an engineer for the Albert Kahn Engineering and Architectural company of Detroit.
He retired to his farm near here in 1943.
He was a member of St. Joseph's No. 45, F&AM and of the St. Joseph's Scottish Rite of South Bend. He attended the Richland Center Methodist church.
He is survived by his wife at home; one son, Floyd, Jr., of Rosedale, Mich.; two sisters, Mrs. Theodore Stichler and Mrs. Roy Riggs, both of South Bend; two brothers, Carlton, of Moses Lake, Washington and Omer F., of South Bend, three grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
One son and one sister preceded him in death.
Final rites are scheduled for 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Foster and Good funeral home in Rochester with Rev. Dale Hamilton of the Monon Methodist church assisted by Rev. Harry Shewmaker of the Richland Center Methodist church officiating.
Graveside rites by St. Joseph's No. 45 F&AM Masonic lodge. Interment in Riverview cemetery at South Bend.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 p.m. Monday.
