"A.C. Carroll, formerly of this city and at one time an employee of the Herald, died in Texarkana Saturday and the remains were shipped here for interment. The funeral was conducted from the home of the young man's father at 202 Queen Street and interment was made in East Hill cemetery. Alva Carroll was twenty two years old, and had a host of friends here, who are shocked and grieved at his death. His family have the sympathy of a host of friends."
