LAKESIDE - Mary Anderson, 100, of 8720 Turner Drive, Lakeside, died Thursday at-her home after an illness.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Monday at St Agnes Catholic Church, Sawyer, of which she was a member. Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery. Friends may call Sunday from 3 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at Connelly-Noble Funeral Home, Three Oaks, where rosary will be recited at 7:30 to the charity of choice.

Miss Anderson was born July 8, 1891, in Chicago, Ill. She was a member and organist for the Paulist Choir which toured Europe in 1909 and performed for Pope Pius X. She taught music in several Chicago , parochial schools for many years and co-founded the St. Phillip Neri men and boys choir in Chicago. She taught piano in this area, retiring at the age of 98, and also served as organist at St. Agnes Catholic Church.

Survivors include: two nieces Mary Schimmelman and Jeanne Kohen, both of Chicago, and a nephew, Horace Anderson of San Diego, Calif. " From The Herald-Palladium, August 23, 1991, page 7
