He was born April 18, 1936 in , Augusta County a son of the late Robert Franklin Doyle and Lottie May Cash Doyle. He was a very active member of Middlebrook Church of God, and was a retired farmer.
He is survived by his wife of 49 1/2 years, Frances (Miller) Doyle. Four children; Roger Doyle and fiance Virginia Rolon of Greenville, Jason Doyle and wife Sherlene of Staunton, Vicky Tucker and husband Tom of Lyndhurst, Cheryl Doyle and friend Kim Simmons of Roanoke, one brother,Elmer Doyle and wife Louise of Raphine, six sisters, Joe Miller and husband Ben, Betty Jones,Estie Barnett and husband Archie, Cecil Nuckoles all of Stuarts Draft, Mabel Kurtz of PA, Alma Moran of Woodstock, two grandchildren, Greg Thorne and fiance Amy Drow,Tosha Thorne and fiance Robert Jones all of Waynesboro, eight great grandchildren, Jasmine,Michael,Dylan, Tyler,Jordan,Jade Jeremey and Ryan .
A service will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Monday Sept 21,2009 at the Chapel of McDow Funeral Home by Pastor Merle Dodson and the Rev. Dennis Bradley.
Burial will follow in Augusta Memorial Park.
