GLADYS P CRITCHFIELD
BOYNTON, Pa. — Gladys Pauline Critchfield, 89, of 139 School Road, Boynton, died Friday, June 18, 2004, at Goodwill Mennonite Home, Grantsville.
Born March 15, 1915, at Meyersdale, she was the daughter of the late James and Ruth (Smeak) Swearman. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul H. Critchfield.
Mrs. Critchfield was a seamstress for the former Salisbury Undergarment Factory. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Meyersdale.
Surviving are two sons, Paul "Bud" Critchfield and wife Betty, Salisbury, and Richard Critchfield and wife Beverly, Fort Hill; one daughter, Connie Shaffer and husband Robert, Gibsonia; two sisters, Ethel Martincic, Lancaster, and Elaine Miller, Meyersdale; 7 grandchildren, Cindy, Tracy, Larissa, Ryan, Joy, Pam and Ann Marie; and 6 great-grandchildren, Nathan, Wade, Travis, Tyler, Dominique and Jesse.
Friends will be received at the Newman Funeral Home, Inc., 9168 Mason-Dixon Highway, Salisbury, on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be conducted on Monday, June 21, 2004, at the funeral home at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Gene Abel officiating.
Committal will be held in the Salisbury Cemetery.
