Gudrun Pederson was born July 15, 1926, in Frohn Township, Beltrami County, to Halvor and Gunda (Huset) Pederson. She grew up on a farm in Frohn Township and went to school in Bemidji. She moved to Bemidji and worked for Lindrud's Variety Store. She married Merald Meyers Sept. 25, 1948, in Bemidji, and they lived here until moving to Stillwater and later to White Bear Lake.. She worked as a business manager for the Stillwater Gazette for 18 years. She was past president of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Bemidji VFW and in 1968 was voted secretary of the year for the town of Stillwater.
She is survived by her husband; a daughter, Mary Meyers (Clark) Haling of Evergreen, Colo., two grandchildren; and a brother, Harry Pederson of Alaska and Arizona.
She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers.
